She is a veteran whom many emulate and with her acting prowess, Nollywood diva, Clarion Chukwura, has been able to maintain a good record for herself over the years and has continued to remain relevant in the industry despite the vast growth of new stars.
Not regretting whatever challenges she might have gone through in life, Clarion has called on aspiring couple to work towards having a good home and should see their companion as their friend. Once in love with Afro-juju legend, Sir Shina Peters which produced renowned music video director, Clarence Peters, Clarion stated that she has now learnt the bad side of marriage and when she meets the right man, she will not think twice on how to manage the home.
According to her,
“Every day I learn from people who live with their husbands about what not to do when it comes to marriage. I think I’ve just learnt the bad things about marriage before the good ones. There is constant discouragement but I just know for a fact that when I find the right person I will definitely not think about it. Marriage should be about finding the right person, finding your soul mate, not necessarily in receiving love.”
On whether she would still settle with a man, the actress stressed that marriage is a good thing as she would gladly advice people to go into it since she has tasted it but disclosed that she left her relationships because she needed peace.
“Marriage is a very good thing I am telling you. For the fact that I am not living with a man today, does not mean I will not advise anybody not to get married. If you have tasted good marriage you will encourage people to go into it. The clash of my marriages cannot be blamed on stardom. I only wanted peace and that is why I am on my own. But I always advise people to get married. If it doesn’t work for them let them remain single,” she told Thisday newspaper.
