Lamido, his two sons granted bail for 75 million

A Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday granted former Governor Sule Lamido of Jigawa State, and his two sons, bail. The first family and one other accused person, Abubakar Wada, were admitted to a N25 million bail bond each, in addition to a requirement that they submit their travel passport to the court.

Mr. Lamido and his sons are facing money laundering charges, brought against them by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. They were arraigned last week in Kano, and were later remanded pending their bail application hearing on September 28.
